[GBlist] Mold question

Hello All,

I am sorry to bother you just before the holidays, but I have an urgent
question about mold:

I pulled out the stove draw this evening and after vacuuming the dirt that
accumulated under it discovered a strange looking growth. The floor is
covered with pinkish/off-white growth that is circular and about 1 inch in
diameter, although all spots vary in size. My 16 year old son has grown
mold in science classes is convinced that this is mold. I have two questions:

-	do you think that this could be mold, based on my description? If it's
not mold, what else could it be?
-	if this is mold, what is the best way to remove it?

Best wishes for happy holidays and for a happy, healthy, and peaceful New Year.

Thank you so much for your help.
