I would like to incorporate passive solar into a
house I am designing that is west of Boston. If I design the overhang for
June 21, then the house will be exposed to some of the hot August sun. But
to shade the house from the August sun, it will also be shaded from the April
sun, when I would like to get some warmth. What is the recommended
practice?
