With
all due respect -- the issue is not whether or not energy to heat and cool
exists, or can be tapped, but the pollution created while generating said
energy. The same holds true with building materials. We have the
resources to create the building material -- at issue is the pollution in its
creation and distribution.

Does our Planet have the resources to
continue to build houses in a big country like ours which average 2200 square
feet in size? For how long? Does the Planet have the energy to
continue to heat and cool such size houses even with excellent energy
efficient methods of building in place? For how long? Where will
it all end?
The words of Henry David Thoreau keep
coming back to me:
"Most of the luxuries and
many of the so-called comforts of life are not only not indispensable, but
positive hindrances to the elevation of mankind."
Sincerely,
