[GBlist] Alternative Construction in South America

I am planning a trip to Mexico, Central, or South America in March
2002 and would like to learn about indigenous or alternative/green home
construction.
I will have 2-3 weeks to travel and am particularly interested in Peru,
Guatemala, Ecuador, and Mexico.  Does anyone have contact
information for individuals or programs that would offer hands-on 
construction experience inthese countries?
