[GBlist] cool pantry

Anyone seen a control to create a cold pantry for use in northern winter
climates? I would like to mount an insulated pantry cabinet or old fridge on
the exterior wall of my house with a thermostatically controlled duct
connected to the outdoors.

I'm building slab on grade so this will give me greater winter storage area
for food and drinks since a cold cellar insn't an option.

I've found this damper control at
http://www.rparts.com/Catalog/controls/damper_control.htm
It doesn't use any power and isn't to expensive. Has anyone ever tried such
an idea?
