[GBlist] Photo album of $100 house...
Greenbuilders...
I've been lurking this list for some months now,
reading some of the stuff with interest (like the
latest discussion 'house thoughts') and leaving the
rest since it's a lot of email and way too big-scale
for me. Anyway I just finished my cabin, and took a
set of photos to document it. They are posted at
http://photos.yahoo.com/adiantum61
It's a 12'X12' space inside, 10' high at the south
end. It took me almost a year (not full time!) and
just under $100, plus lots of scrounging! The frame
is pine poles and bamboo, and it's sheathed with
cardboard, plastic, old carpets, and stucco. I'm
located in central GA, so heating and insulation are
not as crucial as in colder places...
Enjoy, and feel free to comment! I documented
the project pretty thoroughly (there are 4-5 times
more photos than currently posted) with an idea for
it's being spread far and wide...feel free to forward
this at will!
Peace!
Bob Burns.
