Does anyone own the Interactive Green Building Advisor on CD?  If so, can you provide a review and recommendation?

Thanks

Rob

Dear Rob,

We own and use the Green Building Advisor.  We recommend it heartily.  For us, it serves two uses: first, it’s a way to help us remember various goals for our projects and think of stuff we wouldn’t otherwise; second, it’s a great way to encourage clients to incorporate Green strategies.  We ask clients to work with us through the Advisor, or loan it to them – somehow, when they participate in generating the Advisor’s list of recommendations, they’re more invested in them.

The Green Building Advisor is mainly a list of strategies tailored to a specific project, with case studies to buttress the recommendations.  It helps you describe good results, but it doesn’t help you generate them – you still need your own creative process for that.

Best wishes,

David Foley
