Thanks, everyone.
I just spoke with the inspector and the reason for the delay is that he just
doesn't know anything about it (engineered wood) and is expecting the
manufacturer (Georgia Pacific) to respond, through the supplier. Ugh. The
engineer at GP won't be back in the office until tomorrow. He came to our
site Tuesday but was NOT helpful. Whatever my husband asked him about, he
said, "I can't comment on that." He took a bunch of pictures, so maybe he
just had to do some calculations or something?
I do have access to PE who works for one of our other companies, but he is
two hours away so I don't want to drag him up here unless if it isn't
necessary....How long should I wait for GP to help me resolve it before I
resort to getting a PE involved?
