Do a web search on Marc Rosenbaum from Energysmiths in New Hampshire. He's 
been involved in the most credible efforts to get to zero energy homes of 
anyone I know working in the private sector for clients that actually have to 
make these things work within reasonable budgets. He's made some great 
presentations about some of them over the years at NESEA conferences that may 
be archived somewhere on the web.
