Re: [GBlist] archive size

Dear Ethan,

While suggesting improvements, subscribers might acknowledge what's
working, too, just so we recognize and make sure you keep the good
aspects. The content and overall functionality is so good that most of
the refinements ought to be around the edges. I find the light touch in
list moderation, for instance, to be helpful in steering the group in
terms of setting the tone; but the owners are not so controlling as to
be stifling.

As for archives, I've never been able to make use them. The interesting
messages, I capture and keep in my own files for later reference.

As for this archive URL::

...its not really current, is it (?), as it points us to Jan 2001, and is
current only as of last Month.

If the list is to adopt a policy of paring down and editing the threads
in replies, then, where can we find the full messages within a particular
thread? Maybe it's not necessary...

In any case, I would offer one suggestion: please, include a clickable
URL, in the message tag, linking directly to the archives, instead of to
the home pages of Solstice http://www.crest.org and BuildingGreen
http://www.BuildingGreen.com If your e-mail services, including access
to the archives, are useful, people will find the homepages.

Just my two bits. Thanks for asking, and keep up the good work!

Yours truly,
Ross@rnn.com
