My experience with my radiant heat - and I do love it - is that it is
*really* unresponsive. I'd figure about 3 days to fully cope with any
major downward change in the temerature. Sure not what I'd look for in
a back-up system. But a woodstove or fireplace would be a nice backup
for your radiant heat . . .
