I was about to say something along that line:
grapes and ivy work fine in the NYC area. I don't know how well they'll work where you are, but I gather that there are many fast growing plants that might work. Maybe even climbing roses, although beautiful, it won't be the best bang for the buck.

Or you could grow scarlet runner beans, hops, (or even kudzu) over the trailer and/or a trelis next to it.

Alan has suggested misters. I think a better solution can be found, that
would not waste a precious resource like water. Here in the south there
are many places facing water shortages in the not too distant future and
every drop counts. Perhaps it is the same in your area.
If within the budget, why not set up a portable structure similar to
those rented for outdoor functions. I have seen them marketed in a
number of places. Once the house is done you could use it as shading for
an outdoor seating area or additional car/lawn tractor etc.
