Research Engineer in “Green” Building Construction
USDA Forest Products Laboratory (FPL)
Madison, Wisconsin

Applications are invited for a research engineer in the Engineered Wood Products and Structures group. Incumbent will perform research to improve the utilization of wood and natural fiber waste in products for green building construction. Responsible for developing a research program, developings testing methodologies, standards, and design criteria. PhD in structural engineering, engineering mechanics, building science, material science, or commensurate experience; demonstrated experience in conducting materials or products research; knowledge of wood-frame construction, systems, and products.
