For UV protection only, one option is using laminated glass. It blocks 
virtually all UV and has the added safety value, though it will reduce solar 
insolation somewhat.

Check out web sites for Solar Seal or one of the other quality insulated 
glass fabricators or those of the glass manufactureres like PPG directly. 
They all have charts with all the data published in pretty readable formats. 
There are some pretty innovative new coatings out there that might aloow you 
to "tune" better.
