Re: [GBlist] Client education info?
I suggest using solar electric to supplement their energy needs. Just considering
the use of a Building Integrated PV system causes people to think about issues
surrounding our dependence on fossil fuels. From a design point it does add a
significant amount of cost to the project, however the energy saved will generate
additional cash flow to pay for the investment. We have seen retrofit application
with pay backs as low as 10 years. I am sure a new building designed with BIPV can
justify greater returns on investments.
PV is not going to solve all the worlds problems nor is it the only thing for
green buildings. It is a very promising technology that is readily gaining world
wide acceptance in a large scale. I personally believe in it and have focussed my
business on PV technology since 1997. I have been working on a new web site where
we list some of the advantages of solar energy: http://www.specenergy.com/ That
is if your are interested.
