From the Oikos Bookstore, I
would recommend these titles for their broad coverage:

    Primer on Sustainable Building
    The Natural House
    Homing Instinct

Homing Instincts, written by the Yestermorrow Design Build founder John Connell, can be purchased from Yestermorrow (www.yestermorrow.org), thus helping fund this non-profit design/build school dedicated to helping people learn about sustainable building, and how to design a home that suits them well - also if anyone goes through that site to amazon to order books, Yestermorrow makes out too - a great way to help a super school   Linda Lloyd - The Quarries ecoVillage (I suggest ALL my ecoVillage lot owners purchase Homing Instincts before building - has greatly helped them)
