More from my Marvin rep on Hurd Insol8.....

Subject: RE: hurd's Insol8

I don't want to spend too much time bashing my competition, so I would only ask that further research be done on the Insol-8 as you will discover that there are class action suits against Hurd and Southwall regarding this type of glass in that the suspended films have been letting loose and sagging. One of the primary reasons we have stayed away from this type of glass. I am not aware if a solution to this problem has been found or implemented.
Second, Marvin has a full 20 year transferable warranty on insulating glass.
Hurd warranty is non-transferable and is pro-rated after 10 years.
Lastly, what products are involved in your project? If there are any sliding windows or doors, you can't get Insol-8 glass.
