Although I personally have not used this device, I have hung clothes on
the line to dry inside for years.  Never once have I had anything
drip--even when pulling the laundry from not very hip top loaders with
medium spin speeds.  I strongly suspect that such an extra whirl would
pull substantially more moisture out (unless you already have a washing
machine with spin speeds over 700 rpm, to pick a number) and thus reduce
drying time, however.
