Re: [GBlist] windows
I hope I'm doing this right - first posting if that's what it is.
I see a thought on windows and please accept my apologies - I don't want to
"pitch" but you might want to look at fiberglass window's there are a couple
of companies that sell them in North America - a little more expensive than
say Pozzi - but less than Pella - fiberglass doesn't rot or take mold or
mildew. Its insulating capabilities exceed that of vinyl or aluminum and is
the only window that has a sash that you can get that will take a true
triple glazed unit into -with R values in the 5.20 range for whole window
not center of glass.
Also - 90% of all fiberglass windows are "custom" made - made to order -
rarely are any made as stock like the big guys like Anderson, Pozzi or
Pella. So you get the size you need - every time.
Do a search for fiberglass windows - some of the companies should come up -
or drop me a line and I'll say more - I just don't want to come across as a
sales pitch.
Cheers.
