Dear List subscriber,
A 2 day life cycle decision making
course will be held at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia, on the 29th
and 30th of August 2002.
This course provides access for
practitioners to the powerful methodologies of life cycle assessment and life
cycle costing by systematically working through 'real world' scenarios. The
course will demonstrate how these tools have the potential to both meet the
requirements of ISO 14000 and support decision making and improve budget and
environmental performance of building projects.
Caroline Mackley from Bovis Lend
Lease will demonstrate how they are implementing these decision making tools
into a integrated framework and Steve Grimes from Plan Cost will demonstrate how
he, as a QS, is using these techniques in several Australian Projects.
It is aimed at Project mangers,
Quantity surveyors, Environmental building/design experts, building and property
managers, local government officers, engineering consultants, consultants and
planners.
The course costs $550 (excl GST),
for more information and the registration form see http://www.cfd.rmit.edu.au/building/lcclca.html
Course size will be limiter to 25
people.
