[GBlist] rubble foundations

hello everyone- i'm looking for free or inexpensive
(preferably internet) resources for information on how
to construct a lasting rubble foundation for a single
family home in new england. ideally the resource would
have schematic diagrams as well as text and also real
life proven examples that i can show my building code
officer (groan) to prove that i'm not insane. (at
least, not when it comes to greenbuilding) prizes
awarded for quickest reply, most comprehensive, and funniest.
