RE: [GBlist] Destiny USA - Green Building - A sham and a half
Hello,
On the webpage http://www.destinyusa.com/home/?page=home it says,
"Escape. Indulge your senses, soothe your spirit, or perfect your game.
Bring your family or escape all on your own. Experience shopping
pleasures. Dining fantasies. Sporting challenges. Resort luxury. From
breathtaking sights along the harbor to the awe of professional sports
competition and everything in between. Visit DestiNY USA.
Opening
in 2004, DestiNY USA will
be the
most exciting retail and
travel
destination in the United
States.
This one-of-a-kind resort
destination will attract millions of
people
from all over the world. "
We can each have our own opinion of this resort but please do not tell
others that this is a "green" or sustainably designed resort. They state
in the above words taken directly from their website that DestiNY USA:
"Escape. Indulge your senses"
"Experience shopping pleasures"
"Dining fantasies"
"Resort luxury"
"resort destination will attract millions of people from all over the
world."
These things to me SPELL: over consumption, overindulgence, items that
are for luxury not necessity, luxurious travel etc. which are all in
contradiction to SUSTAINABILITY.
Again, this is my opinion, but read the website for yourself.
Peace,
Debra Lombard
