I received a similar notice from a vendor's lawyer in California years ago.
In my experience, unless there are truly big bucks available for lawsuits or
injurious copyright violations going on it is unlikely they will pursue a
lawsuit across state borders.

But don't put anything past a lawyer "Cause a man with a briefcase can steal
more money than any man with a gun."
