Deconstruction and Materials Reuse Conference
The University of Florida Center for Construction and Environment is hosting
the 11th Rinker International Conference "Deconstruction and Materials Reuse"
May 7-10, 2003, at Rinker Hall on the University of Florida campus,
Gainesville, Florida. This conference is intended to provide information about
deconstruction and materials reuse - regulatory, technical, economic and
environmental issues to government officials, researchers, for-profit and
non-profit entities.
The conference will include the annual meeting of the Used Building Materials
Association of North America (UBMA) and the CIB Task Group 39 - Deconstruction.
The UBMA is a North American membership organization dedicated to supporting
practitioners of deconstruction and reuse of building materials. The CIB Task
Group 39 is an international research group examining technical and regulatory
issues related to deconstruction and reuse and recycling of building materials.
The due date for 150 word abstracts for paper and/or presentations is November
30, 2002 for the following conference themes:
Deconstruction Techniques and Tools
Research and Case Studies
Deconstruction and Materials Reuse Business Development and Marketing
Deconstruction Environmental Health and Safety and Hazardous Materials
Wood Reuse and Recycling Opportunities and Constraints
Design for Deconstruction and Materials Reuse
Regulatory, Contractual and Policy Issues
Military Base Deconstruction
