I'm using photovoltaic and wind to provide energy to my sailboat even though
I'm in a marina at the moment. I've lived aboard for almost fifteen years
during which, my energy needs have been kept minimal. I do, however, use
shore power for heat. Unlike most on this list, I'm "real-estate"
constrained concerning additional equipment.

Even if less than 10% on this list aren't using alternatives, they are
learning how to do it. That puts them way ahead of most of my coffee shop
friends.
