My PV system is similar to yours... with 500 watts of PV's 
produing about 2000 watts of power, per day...

I live in Houston, and have reduced my  grid usage down to
about $10 a month... with the rest of my power provided by 
the 6, 90 watt PV panels... I hope to be completely off grid
by the end of this year...

It might be worth mentioning, that I am mostly off of city
water, too, using a roof-water catchment system...
