PV: hot water heater timer
As someone who doesn't have a PV system yet (I'm in the Navy and can't
settle in one place, but when I retire.....) I am concentrating mainly on
conservation. I am going to buy a timer for my electric hot water heater and
need to ask a couple of questions of anyone who might already have one
installed. It is a typical cheap renters appliance. I don't know the
capacity but it's about 5 feet tall. I plan to set it to turn off at ten
p.m. and turn on in time for me to shower at about 6 a.m. What time would I
need to set it to turn on to get hot water at six? Any other hints on
installation? Thanks folks.
John David
