PV: motor optimizers

Yeah, I tried one and it sucked!
I hooked one up, purchased at Home Depot, to our washing machine to see if
it would make a difference. What a difference it made! The washer wouldn't
run and I noticed that when I smelled it! For some reason the electronics
of our old washer couldn't handle whatever it was doing and just sat there
buzzing and heating up. I thought we were going to have to finally get
another washer, but after letting it cool for 15 minutes (and of course
removing the power saver) everything ran fine.
The demo they were showing in the store was on a direct drive motor, and
that might make a difference, but I wouldn't try it on a washing machine
again.
