My bedroom.... is off grid.... I started with the bedroom first, then slowly
expanded
the off grid status to other parts of the house.... I ran a long, and heavy
extention
cord to the big desktop computer, in the living room.... then ran another
extention
cord to the microwave oven in the kitchen.... that is where I am at this
moment...
soon... I will have another extention cord attached to the small water pump,
located
in the  back yard.... it powers my 'On Demand' water system from the rain
water
catchment system.... it pulls only 250 watts when in use... by the end of
2002....
all parts of my house should be off grid...
