     With all due respect, I disagree.  I have been on several lists 
which use each of these methods (reply-to-sender and reply-to-list). 
Invariably, the signal-to-noise ratio is much better on lists which 
default to reply-to-sender.  You miss all of the "me, too!" and 
similar messages.  I think that it should take an affirmative act to 
reply to the list instead of to the sender.  If you have something 
worth saying, then it's worth that small additional trouble.
