Re: [pvusers] Issue 34 re: EMI from SW4048

As I've heard about the Xantrex / Trace SW series inverters in the past they
do put out alot of EMI. So much that ham radio operators have had problems
isolating the noise from their receivers with equipment located nearby these
inverters. I think it has to do with the mini steps they use for emulating
a sine wave. (64 steps for a full wave as I understand it.)

I've also heard that many people use them no problem at all for radio and TV
equipment, so that shouldn't be a problem. For a standard household I doubt
there would be much if any problems at all.

of these inverters in my unfinished house. Is this an issue only for ham
radio enthusiasts, or am I about to experience a world of inteference? Also,
will the not-so-true sinewave pattern make a difference for other electronic
appliances?
