Per my earlier post here, my 25 CF Kenmore uses exactly what the yellow
energy label says, 1.5 kwhrs a day (almost 10% of my daily kwhr
consumption). I too, used a Watts Up meter to verify it. I have the
refrigerator at the factory recommended settings. We meet Joel's
guidelines, although I do have to admit it took a long time to get my wife
to stop putting hot food in the refrigerator.
