RE: [pvusers] battery chargers HELP!!

On a conservative guess c/20 is usually a good charge rate. Look for the
manufacturer and look him or her on the internet. Find the telephone
number and call.

C stands for capacity of the battery in amp-hours.

Subject: [pvusers] battery chargers HELP!!

hi, i'm involved in an EV school project here in México, and the
coordinator
has already bought the batteries: 10 x 12V 31TMX connected in series( i
mean
= opposite of parallel), so we have 120 Volts total.

but the batteries don't have any information about the recharging rates,
and
i need to know which is the optimum Amps Hr and Volts Hr for the
recharging
so i can then buy the charger (i'm the responsible for getting the
charger's
price)

So, if you have any info about the charging process, or the charging
rates,
or what charging data i need to know, and if you know, what type of
charger
do i need? what outputs (V,Amps) does my charger must have?.

Well i'd really appreciate it.

Thanx
Oscar Frías
