[pvusers] Need Info on Temperature Compensation Circuit for Solar Battery Chargers

Hi,

I have designed a buck converter using TL494 from Texas Instruments.  This is used for charging a 12V, 100AH battery from 2 35W Solar Panels.  It would be extremely helpful if you can give me the following details:

1.  What is the use of Temperature Compensation Circuit in Battery Chargers?

2.  How do i implement the Temp Comp circuit using a NTC thermistor.  Is there any reference design available?
