Tincanium Test2

Dear Stovers

Our second test was with A4 bond paper which is a much worse igniter than
newspaper. I used 112 gm of wood this time, cut thicker in section.

The fire took much longer to get going this time because of the paper and
wood size.

As we have no top we waited for the sound of the boil and looked to
determine if there were some bubbles from any part of the fire.

I also only used 1 paint can as a chumney which greatly reduced the draft.

This test was witnessed by Lungile Ginindza, the volunteer at the Renewable
Energy Association. She uses an office provided by New dawn Engineering.
Jim Ross held up the stove while I lit the bottom.

This time it hissed and bubbles slightly at 100 seconds. The mass of fuel
was so small that it never did come to a rolling boil. It went secondary on
the burning at 35 seconds which is prettty good but the first test was
actually much faster in this respect.

My advice: Don't use typing paper!

Regards
Crispin
