Hi Paul The KPCU (Kenya planters coperative Union) in Nairobi used to make charcoal from coffee husks for sometime. I used to see it in Supermarkets in Nairobi but I am not sure whether they still do it. Perhaps someone would volunteer to check on "coffee husks as fuel". I would think that the major coffee producing countries would have looked closely at this issue.
