Camp Fire Stove modification #1

To improve the efficiency of the Simple Camp Fire Stove I added a third
piece, a sleeve to focus the heat on onto the pot. The exhaust was a lot
cooler and slower so I could tell that more heat was going into the pot it
still took 12 min to boil 6 quarts. Next time I will open up the gaps at
the top tabs to allow a little more flow. At one point I was adding wood to
the stove in 3 places.
I like the sleeve so now I need to do something about the fire. The
combustion area is too large. It is about 11" dia and about 6" tall.
How would we improve the burn with only 1 more simple piece, maybe 2 ?
