Tom, This is encouraging. The Hi-Z thermopiles have a basic output voltage of 3.3V; I thought at least two would have to be stacked to run a typical 12V fan and I've only found one source of <12V fans. (In my experience a 12V brushless DC fan will run at 6V, but not much less.) Do you know the fan make/model? I think there's general agreement that a few watts for a fan should be lots.
