The plastic ties may be composed of thermoplastic materials which could
stress relieve if you have a lot of intense sunshine, or embrittle if
you'have intense cold. Check on which plastic is used, its physical
characteristics, especially temperature resistance. The manufacturer of the
ties or your local university engineering department should be able to help
you get the information and increase your comfort level. If you don't get the
answers you want have special bales made with or fiberglass cord ties. We use
bales with glass cord ties in NM, U.S.A..
