Re: Box Beams - Reprisal

Leonard,
You have me thinking about your system - and I'm pondering the box beam
post corner. Would this post be constructed as an "L" in plan? or could
you use a single box beam post 'slab' and attach the unsupported box
beam to the other fully supported one at the intersection?
jus' wonderin'

I plan to use 18" wide box beams constructed of 2x6's and 3/4" OSB as
the roof plate in the modified P&B SB house I'm now designing. The
posts will be made in similar fashion and will be inserted at corners
and wherever door or window bucks are required.
