Straw bale strapping?

Hi folks a short question.  Has anyone used the plastic, or metal strapping
bands that construction depots use to strap crates and stacked wood for
strawbale construction?

Last year I ran into a gentleman who owns a 1 and 1/4 acre sb storage
building.  The building was built in the early 40's for potato storage.  He
divides this building with strawbale walls and straps them together with
this banding.

He said it works great and is easy to use.  He puts walls up and pulls them
down when needed.  He rents out the spaces for whatever.  Very interesting
story.
