Thatch in Nepal

For all of you simple thatch building lovers, here's a house that could be
made of straw (but actually low fired brick). It's a fairly typical house
in the Nepali countryside, attractive proportions with a nice south and
west overhang, as much for the monsoon as for sun. I snaped this in early
December, in mid-morning, and bedclothes are still laid out for sunning.
All in all, a simple, sensible house with beautiful earth tones, sweet
aroma of thatch mingling with motorcycle exhaust, and a pleasant aftertaste.
