I've got an "Alaskan" as well as a Lucas portable mill. Mikal is right
about the big powerhead needed(and the hard work). If you try to rip boards
with a little saw, I can see where it might seem a joke. Also ripping chain
is important (most saw chain is for crosscut). Bailey's is a good outfit
for woodsman supplies. They have a website at http://www.baileys-online.com
