Jam the bales up against the post and stuff straw into an crevices. SB
building is verrrrry flexible.

We floated 2x8 window bucks per book in the first structure and it was a
hassle. In the second structure we made the sides of the windows bucks
posts so that framing the windows was more conventional. This way we had
no lintel support issues for bales above or below. We ended up putting no
bales below and built in window seats instead. Title 24 energy calcs show
our SB house to far exceed requirements so no problem there.
