45 metres per sec = approx. 148 feet per second.
(Ass-u-me-ing that we're using SIU/Imperial measure and not Californian
metres and feet)

... and the number "88 feet per sec. @ 60 miles per hour" comes to mind
which may or may not be accurate but if it is, Huffy is talking about
winds of something like 100 miles per hour, enough to blow his kilt
clean up past his ears. (Och ! Gruesome.)
