Re: SB: Rubble foundation

G ' Day Barbara

Elvis Emilio Teodoro Lopez-Garazgos is quite correct the wind loads that we
design for here in Golden Ganmain are around the 100 mph not zephyrs!

Our tests at the University of New South Wales took the loads to 60 metres
/second which is aprox 170 mph I think plesae would the learned Elvis Emilio
Teodoro Lopez-Garazgos correct me if I am wrong. Anyway pretty fast and high
wind loads. For those who are new to the list our load bearing test on SB
walls far exceeded the 60 m/s loads that we applied at the time.

However we have not tested rubble footings with load bearing SB walls but
designed and built well they should work. BTW my Son has asked me NOT to
wear the kilt to his wedding tomorrow! He wants me to wear a suit and since
I gave all my suits away to St Vinnies I am not sure what I will be wearing.

Keep thinking and RTFs are all the go, except in California???

PS I agree with my Skilful Twin Brother in that we should have some wonderful
person evaluate all the tests that have been done around the world. Tom
Rijven tells me that there is some very good work being done in Austria. As
well, we will be testing our earthen renders on load bearing SB walls this
year in conjunction with Mike Faine of the University of Western Sydney.
Mike will be cominmg down to Ganmain shortly and I would love to have a list
of tests that need to be done.

Kind regards The Straw Wolf
