SB: Help me make up my mind.

Hello Folks,
We are about to pour our footer/foundation friday for our post and beam strawbale home. I need your expertise.

I still can't decide how I should secure the bales. I understand that after the stucco is on, whatever is used to secure the bales is useless, so I don't want to put allot of money into it but I obviously need something.

Strapping looks good but I don't quite understand how effective it would be unless you wrap the bales securely from the footing over the bales and then from the footing over the header. If I use this method do I need to secure the strapping in the footer? Or could I secure it under the 2X4 sill plates?

Chicken wire: I can see the benefit here as it would be easier to hold the electrical and wood nailers in place. But I understand you get better stucco adhesion with out it.

Then there is the pin method, no thanks!

Do I need to impale the first course of bales with rebar? I understand there are pros and cons here, like repairing the first course if the is water damage down the road.

Thanks for your input.
