SB: RE: Lime Plaster Tint Suggestions?

On lime plaster formulation, I read in a slim volume about restoring
an old farmhouse in South Texas about the addition of crushed marble
to lime plaster to make a more durable and even washable surface.  Is
this so?  How much crushed marble is normally used, and does it
replace some or all of the sand?
