"Hmmm ... I wonder what Charmaine's cooking for dinner ?"
(says he as he sees pot cooking away in Charmaine's solar box
cooker, walks over , lifts the lid and surreptitiously scoops out
a ladleful to taste, whereupon he is heard to utter)

      "Plllltttt ! Ee-ee-wwwww!
Don't think I'll be staying for dinner."

Since different regions will have coloured clay which may be unique to
that
region and since this List is global in scope, we have a potentially
unlimited
pallete of earth pigments from which we could draw.
(Ever drooled over the sexy earth-plasters in Beel's photographs ?)

With the magic of scanners and/or digital photography + the Web,
it would be possible to create an on-line catalogue where images of
sample earth colours (contributed by Listmembers from around the globe)
could be posted along with contact information so that anyone could make
a request for the coloured earth of their choice, and the cost would be
that
of shipping + perhaps some sort of token of appreciation for the Dirt
Shipper.

Since the ubiquitous 5 gal plastic pail (as used for drywall mud,
cooking McGrease for McFries, contractor's bulk paint)
is a universally-available item which poses a waste-disposal problem,
this would seem to be a good choice for a recyclable shipping container.

Since people on this List always make their plans well in advance (right
?)
there wouldn't be any rush for shipment so creative/inexpensive methods
could be devised to get the material to its destination. (ie perhaps in
the
manner that we used to get around in the Olde Days (hitch-hiking) ?
