RE: SB: A new Tie down method for SB ???
I'm thinking of a pipe at either end of the loops, and then work the twist
up the strands, so you can use the length of the pipe for leverage. I
haven't seen any State guide lines on "tie down" in Australia. I'm more
concerned that the strand under pressure may shear / tear through the
concrete slab but >150 mm would probably hold up . Needs some testing, I
guess. The other issue is how to get the interior loop reasonably placed,
as I don't want to have to come in to the wall, and nor do I want to be too
far under the bale and cut in on the base plate

I like your idea. working with high tensile is hard as the loop
gets
tight. would there be a problem with kinks? What about codes and
state
guidelines? I really like the idea on the "cheap" part. would a
sharp
bend,(as the wire folded up against the wall) cause a weak point?
